They first crossed paths at work several years ago, while working in different departments. Maria initiated their acquaintance in a friendly manner, unaware that Ben interpreted her gestures as flirtatious (something Maria founds out months later). After just being coworkers for a while, they started hanging out with other colleagues at outings Maria set up. Then one Sunday, during brunch at Lynora's in West Palm Beach, Ben went in for a kiss. Maria pulled back, telling him, "I'm not a toy, so don't play with me." But, you know how it goes, she ended up kissing him back. Leaving the restaurant hand in hand, it felt like they'd known each other for ages. It felt right, almost too good to be true. And now, here they are, years later, with two dogs, two cats, in their cozy home, getting ready for their wedding.
